What We Offer

Throughout the year, we offer fun activities such as live performances and outings to area attractions. Classes in music, arts and crafts, and computer skills are offered in partnership with Angelina Community College (ACC). Our leisure and recreation options enable our participants to make choices based upon their interests and preferences, adding variety and enrichment to their lives, and focusing on their abilities rather than their challenges. The happiness of our participants comes first with us!

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Thomas Jefferson in writing the Declaration of Independence states, “All men (women) are created equal... They are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” We provide these adults with rich opportunities to pursue Life, Liberty, and lots of Happiness.
I am going to teach these parrots to talk.
It's party time....
Welcome to East Texas Fun Bunch (ETFB), Inc. Our purpose is to promote and protect the human rights of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and related conditions and actively support their full inclusion and participation in the community through fine arts, cultural, social, educational, travel and other fun and unique experiences, with the assistance of dedicated and caring volunteers. Who Participates With Us ?

Basically, our participants are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and related conditions who enjoy being in a supervised group for fun and friendship. They enjoy the opportunity for personal choices and flexibility, are cooperative and considerate of others, and able to adjust in a reasonably short time to a new environment with the assistance of supportive and caring volunteers. They are able to provide for their personal self-care needs with reminders or minimal assistance, and while they may have certain medical conditions, they do not impair their safety, welfare, or participation while on an outing. They are really excited and want to see and do everything that is unique to their chosen events.  They want to live life to its fullest.
